Hello all,
I'm just getting back into sailplanes after a long stretch away and I need to replace some missing wing rods for my Sagitta XL 's. I flew them back in the 80's back when I was with the Lincoln Area Soaring Socitiy.
I have read on some web sites about ejector pins but I'm not familiar with them, are the the same as the Rockwell hoarded rods that came in the original kits or better?
The outboard panels used the same 5/16 diameter rods and I was wandering if carbon rods would work and the type if carbon fiber rods to use.

Thank you for any info and advise you may have for me, David.

I've purchased and used ejector pins for wingrods very successfully. I bought them a few years ago, and the vendor was stored a couple of computers ago, so I can't help with a name. But they come in all kinds of sizes; the ones I bought were long enough to chop up into a few lengths. I suspect a whole lot of ejector pins were sold, trimmed down, as superperformance wing rods from sailplane specialist vendors.
