7th Annual
WMSS Woodcrafters[/b]
Soaring Championships
June 16 2012 - Grand Rapids, MI

Announcing the 2012 WMSS Woodcrafters contest. This will be its 7th year and wow, if it's anything like the last several years, it going to be some serious fun. Once again Martin Doney will be the CD. The contest is for Woodcrafters compliant sailplanes, must be hand built, cannot have a molded d-tube wing construction (AVA), no foam bagged or molded wings, but CAN have a molded fiberglass fuse (Sailaire).

There will be three events with awards:
Ladder
Longest Flight
Best Looking Sailplane (one each day, judged by the contest officials)

Ray Hayes has made this event very popular and we want to help expand the Woodcrafters sport in Michigan. This is for anyone that enjoys building and flying balsa wood planes. Fly with your friends and new acquaintances in a relaxed setting. Start flying when you want to. No call up, no pressure. Lots of flying and fun with folks that love the smell of balsa wood and glue. Fiberglass fuses allowed, No molded D-tube construction (AKA AVA).

Pre Registration Not-Required, One Frequency Per Entry,

Awards
1st and Perpetual Traveling Trophy - Ladder - 1st, 2nd, 3rd
Best Built model - 1st
Longest flight - 1st
